This is a plain description of what actually happens to your data when you use bgrm — no accounts, no tracking pixels, nothing sold to anyone.
When you upload a file or paste a URL, the image bytes are sent to our server, piped directly into the background-removal model, and the result is streamed back to your browser. We don't write the image to a database, and we don't keep a copy after your request finishes. If you upload a file, your browser's request briefly creates a temporary file as a normal part of any file upload — that file is deleted automatically the moment the request completes, by the web server itself, not by any code we control keeping it around.
We fetch that URL from our server and process whatever image it returns. We don't fetch URLs that point at private or internal network addresses. We don't store the URL you submitted beyond the time it takes to handle that one request.
Like virtually any web server, ours keeps standard access logs (IP address, timestamp, requested path) for security and troubleshooting. These aren't cross-referenced with the images you process.
The page loads a typeface from Google Fonts. If you use the "paste a URL" feature, our server makes a request to whatever host that URL points to. We don't otherwise share data with third parties, and we don't run analytics or advertising scripts.
bgrm doesn't set any cookies.
None, beyond ordinary short-lived server logs. Each request is processed independently and nothing about your image persists afterward.
